FREE CONSULTATION & OPENING-BY-OPENING INSPECTION
We measure, check operation, and assess rot/moisture, flashing, and trim conditions. You receive a photo + video report with recommended fixes and options.

SCOPE, STYLE & ESTIMATE
Choose materials (vinyl, composite, fiberglass, wood-clad), styles (double-hung, casement, picture, sliders, bays/bows; entry, patio slider, French, storm for doors), grids/colors, and glass packages. We explain insert vs. full-frame replacement, trim strategy, and any interior repaint/stain needs—then provide a clear, line-item estimate.

PROFESSIONAL MEASURING & ORDERING
Final production measurements (RO, jamb depth, sill conditions) for factory order. Hardware, hinge hand, swing, and threshold options confirmed on doors.

PROTECTION & STAGING
Plywood tenting shields landscaping/equipment; pools covered. Interior spaces protected with drop cloths and dust control; access planned to minimize disruption.

REMOVAL & OPENING PREP
Careful removal of old sashes/frames or units (for doors: slab + frame). Repair/replace compromised sheathing or framing, square the opening, and vacuum debris.

SILL PAN & FLASHING
Form/fit a sill pan (pre-formed or site-built) to direct water outward. Integrate flashing tape and WRB at the sill, jambs, and head (with drip cap/Z-flashing above).

SET, PLUMB, LEVEL & SECURE THE UNIT
Window/door is dry-fit, then set and shimmed plumb/level/square; fastened per manufacturer specs (nailing fin or frame screws). For doors: check reveal, hinge loading, latch throw, and threshold contact.

AIR SEAL & INSULATE
Low-expansion foam and backer rod + sealant for a continuous air/water seal without bowing frames. Insulate cavities; verify smooth sash/door operation afterward.

EXTERIOR WEATHERPROOFING & TRIM
Tape fins/heads in manufacturer sequence; install drip caps, cladding/capping, or new exterior trim for a clean finish. For patio/entry doors: integrate threshold pans and end dams; seal transitions to decks/patios.

INTERIOR FINISH
New casing, stool/apron (if needed), or careful re-use of existing trim. Caulk paint-ready joints; optional finishing (paint/stain) as scoped.

HARDWARE, ADJUSTMENTS & QC
Install/adjust locks, keepers, strikes, closers, screens, stops, and limiters. Verify smooth operation, weatherstrip compression, and weep function.

CLEAN-UP & FINAL VIDEO WALKTHROUGH
Full interior/exterior clean-up and magnet sweep where fasteners were used. Final walkthrough + video explaining what we installed and how to care for it.

WARRANTY REGISTRATION & CARE GUIDE
We register your manufacturer limited warranties and provide Compass’s 10 year workmanship warranty. You’ll get a simple care/maintenance guide (caulk checks, operable hardware care, screen/storage tips).
